An Evening of Christmas Music

An Evening of Christmas Music

22 December 2017

An evening of Christmas music, what a fantastic evening! Fridays’ musical event brought people from around Stoke Christian Centre together to enjoy the various Christmas songs and Carols performed by M.B.C. Harmony and supported by Time and Motion. It certainly started the Christmas festivities.

The event was put together by Priscilla Carroll and Chris Prout with the support of various businesses in the area and Stoke Christian Centre. Chris said “I wanted to raise funds to provide resources and entertainment for the children who would be in hospital over the Christmas period. I have 2 grandchildren who, due to their medical conditions, may be in hospital, in other areas, over the Christmas period and I wanted to support our local hospital to provide Christmas cheer. I then contacted to Priscilla, who organises events in the area and together we have arranged this fantastic event.”o provide resources and entertainment for the children who would be in hospital over the Christmas period. Sue Rodgers, CHHF fundraising coordinator, and Chris Lomas, Treasurer, who attended the event, said “This has been such a wonderful occasion. It has been supported by local people and businesses and has brought a lot of cheer and fun to people that attended. It certainly started the Christmas Season with a bang.”

With the help of a raffle, the evening raised £237.00 with a further donation by Stoke Christian Centre of £50. These funds will help support entertainment for the children at Derriford Hospital.

CHHF would like to thank Chris and Priscilla for all their hard work along with all who donated to the raffle including Co-operative stores in Duke Street, Albert Road, Stoke Village, Trafalgar Stores, Iceland Store, Lloyds pharmacy, Esso Garage, Spar Shop, Primetime stores, Lidl and Aldi and those that attended.Sue Rodgers, CHHF fundraising co-ordinator, and Chris Lomas, Treasurer, who attended the event, said “This has been such a wonderful occasion.
