Entertainment for the Wards
Entertainment provided for patients on the wards
Children’s Happy Hospital Fund aim to provide a variety of entertainment to bring smiles to those patients that are unfortunately in hospital during special times of the year, Christmas and Easter and are now, with your help, aiming to provide entertainment at least once a month.
We look for entertainers appropriate for all ages from balloon modelling, playlets to body painting and close hand magicians.
By having entertainers visiting the wards helps the children forget why they are in hospital and helps to distract them from the difficulties that they may be having, pass the time whilst they are waiting for treatment or procedures or just making them smile or laugh. Parents/carers say that having this break in the hospital routine is fantastic and helps them to make the situation feel achievable and less anxious.
Emazdad likes to provide entertainment for the wards on a regular basis to bring some smiles to some of our patients. It makes various balloon models that can be used by babies, toddlers and even teenagers.
Mark the Magician is a favourite with our teenagers. He is excellent at engaging with them and getting them trying to work out how he does his tricks!!!
