The Great Bruce Forsyth Social Club
We had a visit from ‘The Great Bruce Forsyth Social Club’, who have fun and raise money for charities in and around Plymouth for the past 30 years .
This year they have chosen to help Children’s Happy Hospital fund by donating £300 to help provide a new ‘reading area’ in the Activity Centre on Woodcock Ward along with activities to do at the new tables they have funded with their generous donation.
Children’s Happy Hospital Fund help to provide that ‘little bit more’ for the children and their families that are on the children’s wards along with other paediatric areas across University Hospital Plymouth. They aim to provide activities, resources and facilities to aid recovery and make the experience of being hospital just a bit better.
“We appreciate every penny that is donated to CHHF, as they use all the donations to help our patients. This donation will help us provide a new reading come quiet area within the Activity centre which will help benefit our younger patients. Christmas can be a difficult time of the year for families to be in hospital and being able to provide resources for them to use will help bring smiles to them” comment Sue Rodgers Play Service Team Leader.
“We want to thank all the ‘Brucies’. They are ‘Marvellous!!’
